This 94 Chevrolet 2500 belongs to Chad Hutchens, of Boerne, TX.

It typifies the standard truck of south central Texas. Used for transportation to and from work, towing duties, hunting trips and anything else thrown at it. Living in the Hill Country, a truck is USED not displayed. Follow along and check out a little “BRUTAL” improvement. We like to call it off-road “augmentation”

First we started with a 3” body lift. Moving the front bumper up was no problem, but raising the grille guard while keeping it’s duty to protect the front sheet metal required fabricating new mounting brackets. Lift Lips took care of the gaps created by the lift.

Next the surgery commenced. Here is the result. First the frame was rid of all of its unneeded brackets, ground smooth, then pressure washed. Then coated with two coats of Duplicolor Hi-Temp gloss black. A Pro-Comp stage II 6” lift was then installed to make room for the 39.5” Gumbo’s on 16.5” X 10” American Ultra Wheels.

Chad says that gears and lockers are next, stay tuned……….
